Loaning money is always a risk. Most people don’t realize that. They think a loan is a promise. In reality, it’s a gamble.
I learned early on to never expect repayment. If it comes back, it’s a blessing. If it doesn’t, it’s the price of the lesson and that person never gets another chance.
I passed that lesson to my son in 11th grade. He had his first job and was proud of earning his own money. But one day he came home broke. Couldn’t even buy a bag of chips.
“Where’s your money?” I asked.
“I loaned it to someone,” he said. “They never gave it back.”
That was his life lesson. I told him:
Never loan what you’re not willing to give up.
And never loan your last.
Because in this world, people will test you. Money will test you.
But if you live by that standard, you’ll never lose more than you can afford.
Discipline isn’t just about workouts or routines it’s about standards. Protect your time, your energy, and your resources. That’s how you build a life and a legacy on a strong foundation.
